A Vestry Day
will be held on Saturday, October 2nd* at Zion Church in Rome from
8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
The Day is designed to give each Vestry Member some practical background, tools, and
resources to carry out their mission. Sponsored by the Formation for Ministry Team of the Commission on Ministry.
Presentations will offer answers to such questions as:
*What are my responsibilities as a vestry person or warden?
*What rules or laws are in place to define how my church operates?
*How can the Vestry handle conflicts when they arise?
*Stewardship - is it just about the money?
There will be question/answer periods offered throughout the day.
The cost is $5.00 per person and includes lunch, snacks, and all materials.

Pre-Convention Regional Meetings
are open to all, not just clergy and Convention delegates.
Ø The agenda for these meetings will include a presentation of the Proposed 2011 Diocesan Budget, Resolutions that have been submitted for Convention, and remarks by Bishop Adams.
Ø Representatives from the Diocesan Board and the Resolutions Committee will be on hand to take your questions and/or comments.
Ø Please note that there will be no Budget or Resolution hearings held at Convention.

The Diocesan Youth Council is hosting a day of workshops, a keynote speaker, Bronwen Clark Skov, Youth Ministries Officer for the Episcopal Church and a closing Eucharist for those of us who are working with our diocesan youth already and those of us who would like to engage in this ministry.
Topics include: Youth and Spirituality, How to prepare for Confirmation, Regional Youth Ministries, Music and more . . .
Lunch will be provided for a modest fee of $5.00
